I’m currently back in my hometown in Western NY enjoying a little R&R as well as some of the local cuisine! ;) Yeah yeah, those of you from here can laugh, but it’s hard to get good pizza outside of the Buffalo area! And I dont’ want to hear anything about that thin-as-paper “New York Style” crap! It ain’t the same! But i Digress…..

-I will be embarking in my brand new Funk Wagon (and for those of you who know me well, this will mean that you won’t have to pick me up anymore when we hang out! I bet I start getting more social calls after this ;^P ) for Albany, New York where I’ll start recording final versions of “We Could Be So Happy,” “You Are My Star,” and if time permits, “Shine.” I’ll try to keep you updated as the process goes on, but let it be known, the ep’s recording process will be soon drawing to a close (Thank GOD!)

Champion of “alliteration” right here!!! (for those who didnt’ pay attention in English class, that’s when you rhyme words that have similar beginning sounds)

-On Thursday, I’ll be flying out to New York to visit my friends and family up there, but also to begin the final stages of recording for the “jazzrocksoul” ep! “You Are My Star,” “We Could Be So Happy,” and possibly “Shine” will be getting star treatment at the studio of Greg Tobler who has also assisted on records by Norah Jones and Joan Baez! And he also just happens to be a close friend! I’ll give you updates while I’m there!

Just wanted to drop everyone a line to let you know that the acoustic EP I’ve been working on, “From The Mansion…” is now done and ready to be downloaded at my myspace page! There are 4 brand new tracks you’ve not heard before on it! There’s also a blog with some notes about the songs up there too! Check it all out, tell your friends to download it too, and let me know what you think! You don’t have to be a member of Myspace to download it either!

-First off, the Myspace page (www.myspace.com/adamjames) has a new look to it! Come check it out and if you’re a myspace member, leave me a nice comment! :^D

-Secondly, I’m currently working on an acoustic EP that’ll be available as a free download on Myspace. Should be done in mid August and will feature a couple new tracks and some acoustic takes on some more familiar ones, and who knows what else! I’ll keep you posted!

I just got back from Albany and it was fantastic! I have 3 new tunes that I have all tracked, they just need to be mixed and they’ll be done! They are “We Could Be So Happy,” a more pumped up version of “You Are My Star” and “I’ll Be On Your Side.”
The Crimson Shift reunion gig was fantastic as well! We played for two hours straight, had a great crowd and even made a couple bucks! It was a fantastic time and I sang myself almost hoarse! Thanks to everyone who came out and made it a beautiful night!
